When our barista Zeus spotted this one on Onyx Coffee Lab‘s website, he insisted we pick some up with our regular order. What a genius pick! We have been grinding this one super fine and putting it under the Kyoto ice water drip at 6-8 drips every 10 seconds. The result is a super delicious, highly concentrated cup of cold brew that has a sweet finish. It is reminding us of butter pecan ice cream with a hint of bourbon.
If you haven’t tried our Kyoto cold brew, be warned it is super strong! We recommend cutting it with your favorite milk if you have a tendency to gulp. For those of us restrained enough to sip, a hearty amount of ice will give you a strong cup of iced coffee that will see you through several hours. None of that sad coffee flavored water that happens when ice melts in a traditional cold brew!
